Who We are
Laureen DuBeau
I have been teaching Pilates for the past 30 years and during that time have reached the highest level possible within the STOTT PILATES community. As a Master Instructor Trainer, I have the opportunity to teach courses and workshops all over the world.
I was a dancer from a very young age, and eventually received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. My studies also spanned sport and athletic training, and finding STOTT PILATES allowed me to bring the two worlds together. Working directly with co-founder Moira Merrithew, I became an Instructor Trainer, and later, a Master IT. Now, I help instructors and clients at every step of their movement journey.and can honestly say I love my job.
Anita Connolly
When I first started teaching Pilates, I found it was the perfect way to bring my love of movement and my desire to work within my community together. I received my first certification from STOTT PILATES in 2012 and since then have received qualification in Total Barre, Plyoga and breathwork. Having taught Pilates Mat and Reformer, Stretch and Barre at locations in Bradford and Uxbridge, each of these gave me another way to make a difference in the lives of people at every level of fitness.
I’m a mother of five with four grandchildren and two grandpuppies and a recent transplant to Wasaga Beach. I look forward to connecting with my neighbours and helping them move and feel better.
Alex McKim
My pilates journey begins in 2012 by obtaining my Mat and Pilates training. Pilates is the perfect way to combine my interest in science, my appreciation for movement, and my passion for helping people feel better in their own bodies. Over the past 13 years my passion for Pilates has grown and I’ve expanded my expertise into many certifications including (but not limited to): Cadillac, Chair, Springboard, Barrels and CoreAlign, Pre and Post Natal + Core Confidence Specialist, Pilates for Neurological Conditions, Biomechanics training, Foot and Gait Analysis, Fascial Stretch Therapy and TRX training.
I believe we all have the ability to build strength, confidence and support within ourselves. As a busy mother of two young children, I understand the importance of putting yourself first and prioritizing your own body’s well being. Using movement as therapy, we will work together to not only become stronger physically, but also mentally and emotionally.
